Infantry Character Sheet Template
Infantry Creation
PLEASE NOTE: You can create your unit by submitting a post containing their character sheet in the Proposed folder of Infantry section of the Databanks, the Infantry section can be found in the Ground Combat division. Once your character sheet is approved by a storyteller, it will be moved to the Approved section, you will be then asked to make a copy of it on Roll20 and in your Google Sheets under the Infantry section. Once the unit's character sheet is approved by the storyteller it cannot be changed, however new, updated variants of a unit can be submitted with a new proposal. Your Google Sheets may contain unapproved units, for example if you are using it to draft future unit before submitting them. If there is ever a discrepancy between your various character sheets, the Approved character sheet will be the one utilized. If at any point information about hero creation in Stars Without Numbers Revised rulebook contradicts information on the forum, go with what the forums specify as it was homebrewed. Infantry units cannot utilize skills, powers, or foci related to Psychic, Arcanist, Sorcerer, or Technomancer class in order to reflect the rarity of these abilities.
Step 1: Pick a Species Focus along with its bonuses
Step 2: Pick the Soldier's level, each level costs 1 point, Soldiers can go up to 5th level. Soldier's level determines the amount of their Hit Points (6 per level), their Attack Bonus (chance to hit), Skill Bonus, amount of skills they are proficient in (1 per level), Saving Throw score, Moral Score, and amount of Foci they can be given.
Step 3: Apply level bonuses: Hit Points equal to 6 multiplied by level number, plus species bonuses, with hit points penalties applied afterwards. Attack Bonus equals to Level divided by 2, rounded down. Skill bonus equals to Level divided by 2, rounded down, maximum 4, Movement initially equals to 10 but can be changed by purchasing Perks or Modifications in later steps. Each level the soldier can add another skill to his list of skill proficiency. Saving Throw score equals to 16-Level number. Morale equals to 6 + Level divided by 2, rounded down.
Step 4: Purchase additional Foci, soldiers increase maximum limit of their foci at level 1, 2, 5, apply their bonuses. Perks and Modifications do not count towards this limit
Step 5: Purchase weapons to be used by the soldier
Step 6: Purchase armor to be used by the soldier (link provided in Step 5)
Step 7: Purchase modifications to be used by the soldier, maximum is 1 modification per weapon, 1 modification per armor, cyberware limit equals to the unit's level, there's no limit on perks and general modifications (link provided in Step 5)
Step 8: Add up cost for the levels, Foci, weapons, armor, perks and modifications purchased and record it (to convert point cost into credit cost, multiply it by 100)
Step 9: Record the soldier's type, faction, and size. Size can be increased or decreased for free and does not have an impact on the game's mechanics (Normal= 1 hex; Medium= 2 hexes long, 1 hex wide; Large=2 hexes long, 2 hexes wide; Serpentine= 3 hexes long, 2 hexes wide; Giant=3 hexes long, 3 hexes wide)
