The credit economy is one of the major features of this forum. From buying a blaster pistol to constructing entire spaceships, credits are often the way your characters acquire the tools to make their dreams come true. Furthermore, your characters will most likely find increasing their level rather useful, which is where experience points come into play. Heroes can earn their credits and experience points by taking part in Open Roleplay Scenarios, completing their Heroic Goals, or by working with a Faction. Below you will find more information about the first two, while the third depends entirely on the given faction's generosity. Factions, on the other hand, will acquire their credits and experience points through Faction Roleplay Scenarios, completing their Faction Goals, and from income provided by their territories. More information about these can be found below as well.

Open Roleplay Scenarios
PLEASE NOTE: To gain experience from an Open Roleplay Scenario, the number and difficulty of checks the character will attempt, as well as number of combat encounters, number of enemies, and which character sheets are used for them, has to be approved by the storyteller before the thread begins. To do this you can message a storyteller or create a thread for your scenario with only the OOC preliminary post within it describing the purpose of the thread, how many skill checks you wish to attempt, and how many enemies you wish to face. To read more on creating roleplaying threads please look at Starting and Joining Roleplay Scenarios.
Combat
If these threads are not conducted against other players but the character is defeated, they must roll a savings throw of their choice, if it is successful then their character is saved, otherwise their character dies.
Pit Fighting: Defeating a creature of the same level as your characters earns 1 experience point, you can get additional points by fighting creatures of higher level (1 xp point per level difference) and being outnumbered (Additional xp reward equal to the number of creatures). Each of these experience points can be converted into 100 credits award instead.
Bounty Hunting: A successful bounty hunt awards a number of experience points equal to your target's level (this bonus is doubled if you are the target of the bounty hunt and successfully evade or defeat your hunter), each of these points can be converted into a monetary reward instead, 100 credits for each experience point converted.
Mercenary Work: Randomly generated battle scenario where Hero can bring in with them any units available to them. The battle offers 1d6-1 xp and for each enemy defeated the hero earns a 1d100 credits.
Expertise
Contracts: Hire yourself out as a specialist based on your skills, for every successful skill check during the scenario earn 1 xp or 100 credits. The difficulty for these skill checks equals to 9 + half the level of the hero attempting it rounded down. Each subsequent check of the same skill in the same thread increases the DC by 1.
Schemes: Whether a smuggling operation, heist, or a completely legal business venture, come up with a plan and a target for your scheme. Carrying out a successful scheme awards a number of experience points equal to your target's level (this bonus is doubled if you are the target of a scheme and successfully counters the schemer's skill checks), each of these points can be converted into a monetary reward instead, 100 credits for each experience point converted.
Caravan: Offer to transport goods across planet, from one planet to another, or even between sectors. For each hex traveled earn 1d4-1 experience points, 1d100 credits, and roll on the random encounter table. The only variant of this scenario that does not require owning a starship is taking goods across the planet, which counts as only one hex traveled.
Heroic Goals
